Alan Mullane PhD

Alan is Chief Executive Officer at ElectroRoute Japan, leading its activities from proprietary trading to provision of balancing contracts and trading solutions.  Previously he was ElectroRoute’s Chief Risk Officer.

Prior to ElectroRoute, Alan was founder and CEO of an Irish Energy Consulting Firm. Alan has a proven track record in analytics and advisory services to government departments, regulators, system operators and merchant power plant developers. Alan has acted as a specialist consultant to the market and system operator during SEM design, implementation, and certification and for numerous wind integration studies. Alan has also lectured in Electrical Engineering at UCD and has published several journals and conference papers. Alan is a graduate of University College Cork, holding a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree and a PhD in Electrical Engineering.
