Glen Byrne

Glen joined ElectroRoute as its first IT hire in 2013, and is currently Chief Information Officer. Before joining ElectroRoute, Glen was Lead Analyst/Solutions Architect at CitiBank commodities for 5 years. Prior to that he spent 6 years at Barclays Capital working in a variety of IT roles within the commodities business in both London and New York. Glen has also worked as a management consultant within PwC’s Utilities practice, gaining experience internationally in large Energy Trading software implementations and has worked as an independent IT contractor for various banks and large energy utilities. He has also worked as an exploration geophysicist. He holds a Ph.D. and a B.Sc. from University College Dublin.
